I am receiving some unconfirmed reports that demolition has begun on the old Freight House at the corner of Fourth and Clinton Streets.
I won’t be able to get over there until later this afternoon. Â The reports started coming in a few minutes ago. Â This is the former Lake Shore and Michigan Railroad Freight Station that Kelly Lynch and neighborhood supporters fought so hard to save earlier this year.
I just received word from a reliable source that the freight house is indeed coming down today.
Yes indeed. The back of the lower section has been completly torn off. Friends are commenting that they had know idea a decision had been made…. Intentional? I think so!
