Hispanic Professionals in Immigration Panel Discussion at IPFW
(September 17, 2010) – As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will host “Looking Historically at Immigration,” Tuesday, Sept. 21. The panel discussion will take place from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Walb Student Union Ballroom. It is free and open to the public.
This thought-provoking discussion will focus on the experiences related to immigration and its impact on our society. The panel will feature members of various ethnic groups. Participants include Talia Bugel, assistant professor of Spanish at IPFW; Eddy Lopez, IPFW student and president of Hispanos Unidos; Florence Mugambi, reference librarian at IPFW; Emmanuel Ortiz from Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne; and Aleksandar Popovski, assistant director of IPFW’s International Student Services.
The discussion will be moderated by Yecenia Tostado, academic tutorial specialist with IPFW’s Upward Bound program.
