Bobay to announce for City Council

The first of what will probably be many such announcements for next year’s election cycle.

Press release from the Bobay campaign:

Bobay To Announce For City Council

Local business leader Donald K. Bobay is set to announce that he is a candidate for Fort Wayne City Council in the 2nd District. This announcement will be made at 11am on Sept. 21st at the monthly Sertoma Club Luncheon held at Rib Room on East State Blvd. Don will be available to answer questions prior to and following the lunch.

A Fort Wayne native, Don has served the local construction industry for forty-five years. He was president of Moss Engineering Corporation, Director of Business Development for Hagerman Construction, as well as for A. Hattersley and Sons. Don currently owns Conservative Energy Management (CEM), LLC and is the Managing Partner of All Division Commercial Building Products and Services, LLC.

Active in the community, he is an officer in the SERTOMA Club, as well as a director of the local Chapter of the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), which he founded. He has earned the distinction as a (CPE) Certified Professional Estimator. Don was also appointed by IPFW to serve as a member on the (IAC) Industrial Advisory Council.

This will pit him against current City Councilwoman Karen Goldner, a Democrat, who took her seat from Don Schmidt by only a few votes in the 2007 election.
