Tomorrow is a busy day in Fort Wayne.

First off is the annual Waynedale Community Picnic. From The Waynedale News:

Our 8th annual Waynedale Community Picnic is coming up on August 28th at our wonderful Waynedale Park, on the 7000 block Elzey and Koon St. The free event runs from 10 am until 3pm and is supported by many local businesses, some neighborhood associations, parks department and friends of Waynedale. Children’s games from 10am to 2 pm for ages 0-13 yrs where they can even win free prizes. Games for all ages, crafts, face painting, balloon makers, Music by D.J. / entertainment and free food for all. Door prizes for adults and children are given throughout the day.

We still are looking for donations (monetary or personal donations/gift certificates) and several volunteers are still needed. ALL collected money goes directly into our picnic. Want to reserve and set up a booth to advertise your business at the picnic? All sponsors have their name added to our large “Sponsors Billboard” and are announced at the picnic.

Our Waynedale Community Picnic is a very unique “Old Fashion” picnic in the park to promote fun for our children and their families at our park. In these especially hard times it is even more important to become apart of it this year!

Please contact Beulah (747-6305) or Cheryl Connett (747-5272) for questions.
