What’s Happening at Foellinger Theatre August 11 – August 17

The Blind Side Movie: Wednesday, August 11, 8:30 pm, FREE
The story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family. PG-13. Sponsored by 97.3 WMEE.

The Bluz Brothers, A Tribute: Friday, August 13, 8 pm, $7
This eight piece band is dedicated to the great R & B sounds made popular by Jake and Elwood Blues of Calumet City, Illinois. It is their mission to carry on the tradition until the boys make parole, or until incarcerated themselves—whichever comes first. Sponsored by Rock 104.

Spike & the Bulldogs: Saturday, August 14, 8 pm, $5
We welcome back this high-energy group which brings vintage 50’s and 60’s Rock ‘n Roll to our stage. They’ll play your favorite songs of this era from such greats as Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Wilson Pickett, Bobby Darin, the Righteous Brothers and many more. Fort Wayne Area Community Band: Tuesday, August 17, 8 pm, FREE
The band will take you on a musical tour of their favorite locations, including songs from The King and I and The Sound of Music.

Concert tickets may be purchased on-line through the Monday before a concert at www.fortwayneparks.org or at the Parks & Recreation office Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, 705 E. State Blvd.
