What’s Happening at Foellinger Theatre August 4th – August 7th

Where the Wild Things Are Movie: Wednesday, August 4, 8:30 pm, FREE
An adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler. PG. Sponsored by 97.3 WMEE.

The Fort Wayne Children’s Choir: Friday, August 6, 7:30 pm, FREE
This performance is the culmination of Choralfest, a weeklong multi-disciplinary arts Day camp. Choralfest offers children the opportunity to explore a mixture of artistic forms, including singing, dance, and drama.

Blessid Union of Souls: Saturday, August 7, 8 pm, $10 / $12 DOS
The pop/rock band Blessid Union of Souls had eight Top 40 hits, including the No.1 hit “I Believe.” They’ve performed with the Goo Goo Dolls, Bon Jovi, & Third Eye Blind to name a few. Their new release “Close To The Edge” is due to hit stores on September 16, 2010. Also performing are two up & coming bands, LoveSick Radio & Mission Hill. A Shout! Presentation.

Concert tickets may be purchased on-line through the Monday before a concert at www.fortwayneparks.org or at the Parks & Recreation office Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, 705 E. State Blvd. You may also purchase tickets at the box office starting at noon the day of the show.
