Fort Wayne Pride Festival kicks off tonight

Screen Capture from the Fort Wayne Pride website.

Fort Wayne’s GLBT Community will be celebrating with a two day event at Headwaters Park this weekend.

From their website:

Fort Wayne Pride 2010 will be the 13th annual festival celebrating the GLBT community of Fort Wayne and the surrounding area. It is the 2nd largest festival in Indiana and one of the Midwest’s fastest growing Prides. This year we expect a turnout of 5,000 people. Each year we strive to add more events to Pride and this year is no different. With the addition of Headwater’s Park West, we are adding a volleyball tournament and an afternoon dance party presented by PLUSH. This year’s theme of Purpose*Presence*Pride signifies our commitment to bringing change to the area through education and exposure.

Friday, the festival is open from 7 pm to midnight with $3 admission.  Saturday, the hours are from noon to midnight with $5 admission.

Again, as with all festivals, City Ordinances do not allow pets to be at the festivals.  Visit the official Fort Wayne Pride website.
