What’s Happening at Foellinger Theatre July 18 – July 24

Summit City Chorus: Sunday, July 18, 2:30 pm, FREE
The Chorus will dazzle you with the harmonies of a four-part barbershop made up of 60 men, ages 18-80. There will be several guest barbershop quartets to enhance the concert

Fort Wayne Area Community Band “An Evening at the Movies”: Tuesday, July 20, 8 pm, FREE
The band will feature scores from great movies like How the West Was Won, The Wizard of Oz and The Pink Panther.

Shark Tale Movie: Wednesday, July 21, 8:30 pm, FREE
When a son of a gangster shark boss is accidently killed while on the hunt, his would be prey and his vegetarian brother both decide to use the incident to their own advantage. PG. Sponsored by 97.3 WMEE.

Cirque D’Or – Golden Circus: Thursday, July 22, 8 pm, $20 Adults/$8 Children
The Golden Dragon Acrobats represent the best of a time honored Chinese tradition that began more than twenty-five centuries ago. This is a show for the family to enjoy. “There is a precision and beauty about everything these performers do” – The Washington Post.

Guy Lombardo’s Royal Canadians with Al Pierson: Friday, July 23, 8 pm, $7
Pierson shows a dedication to the distinctive and recognizable style and grand tradition that made the Lombardo Orchestra one of the most listened to, talked about, and imitated big bands of all times. They’ll perform wonderful tunes such as “Seems Like Old Times” and “Ain’t She Sweet.” Sponsored by PBS 39 and 1250 AM The River.

The Blue River Big Band: Saturday, July 24, 8 pm, $4
The Blue River Big Band has a unique mix of a healthy portion of time-tested swing favorites along with a sprinkling of newer music such as jazz, rock, and Latin charts. The evening promises something for everyone.

Concert tickets may be purchased on-line through the Monday before a concert at www.fortwayneparks.org or at the Parks & Recreation office Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, 705 E. State Blvd. You may also purchase tickets at the box office starting at noon the day of the show.
