American Red Cross Hosts Free Workplace Safety Seminar
Local Businesses, Organizations invited to Learn Preparedness and Safety Solutions

(June 24, 2010) – The American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana will host another free Workplace Safety Seminar and breakfast on Tuesday, June 29 from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at its facility, located at 1212 E. California Road in Fort Wayne (across from the Memorial Coliseum). The seminar invites local businesses and organizations to learn more about safety in the workplace.

Sponsored in part by Cardiac Science, the free Workplace Safety Seminar includes an overview on Red Cross preparedness, training, and safety solutions, a discussion on current OSHA topics, and a presentation by an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Specialist from Cardiac Science. Attendees will also engage in an interactive Changing Lives tour of the Red Cross facility, and be able to take advantage of special offers on Red Cross training, retail, and educational materials. The first 25 attendees to RSVP will be entered to win free Red Cross preparedness and safety products.

The Workplace Safety Seminar follows on the success of the seminar held at the Red Cross on June 3, in which Mayor Tom Henry of Fort Wayne presented a proclamation recognizing National CPR and AED Awareness Week during the week of June 1-7.
