Press release from National Serv-All:
Three current and former Indianapolis Colts greats to highlight Serv-All’s 2010 Three Rivers Festival Parade float
(June 23, 2010) – Two current stars and one former familiar face from the Indianapolis Colts will be the stars of the show aboard National Serv-All’s float for the PNC Parade, which will be held in downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday, July 10.
Current Colts stars Gary Brackett and Kelvin Hayden will team up with former standout Tarik Glenn on Serv-All’s Colts-themed float as it traverses the parade route through the streets of downtown Fort Wayne.
“The Colts are a beloved team among many of our region’s devoted football fans, so we are excited to bring three of the franchise’s most recognizable faces here for the parade,” Bob Young, director of municipal relations for National Serv-All, explained. “We appreciate Gary, Kelvin and Tarik making themselves available for this event which is so special to so many people in northeast Indiana.”
An eight-year NFL veteran, Bracket has served as the team’s defensive captain from his linebacker position since 2006 and has twice been named the AFC’s Defensive Player of Week. Hayden has been a regular starter at left corner since 2007, and is perhaps best remembered for his interception return for a touchdown which helped clinch the team’s victory in Super Bowl XLI in 2006. Prior to his retirement from the NFL before the 2008 season, Glenn was a mainstay on the Colts’ offensive line, starting all 16 games in seven of his eight seasons and twice being named to the Pro Bowl.
The PNC Parade will officially kick off the 2010 Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival, which runs July 9-17. In addition to helping open this year’s Three Rivers Festival, Serv-All will play a prominent role in bringing it to a close as well, as it is the title sponsor of the Festival’s Fireworks Finale.
