2010 Greek Fest starts tomorrow

Greek Fest begins tomorrow at Headwaters Park under the Lincoln Financial Pavilion.

The festival has grown a day this year and will run through Sunday, June 27, 2010.

Festival Hours
Thursday, Friday and Saturday – 11 am to 11 pm
Sunday – 11 am to 6 pm

Admission
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11 am to 4 pm and all day Sunday – no charge
Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm – $3 per person

Live Greek Music
Thursday from noon to 2 pm and 5 pm to 11 pm, “Lazaros” will be performing
Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 11 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm, “Ikari” will be performing

Authentic Greek Dance Performances

Ta Kala Pedia
Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 5 pm as well as Sunday at 4 pm

Doxa
Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 5:15 pm as well as Sunday at 4:15 pm

Ta Asteria
Thursday, Friday and Saturday at noon and 5:30 pm as well as Sunday at 4:30 pm

E Meraklides
Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 12:30 pm, 6 pm and 7:30 pm
as well as Sunday at 5:00 pm

Greek Cooking Demonstrations
Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1 pm and 4 pm

Learn to Greek Dance Workshops
Friday and Saturday at 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm

Special Event
The Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostomos will be held at 9 am on Sunday
The public is invited to experience a Greek Orthodox Sunday Church Service at Headwaters Park

Olympic 5K Run
Starting at the Festival at 2 pm on Sunday

Including: Spanakopitas, Souvlaki, Lamb Chops, Pastichio, Octopus, Gyros, Baklava, Loukoumades,
Baklava Ice Cream Sundaes, Greek Coffees and other fine delectibles.

Featuring artwork, Greek icons, souvenirs, clothing and jewelry

Plate Throwing Booth
Break a plate for $1.00 and get entered in the $5,000 grand prize raffle

Kids Korner
Amusement rides
and children under the age of 12 will receive a free hotdog when accompanied by an adult in the main food lines

New Food Item
Greek pizza – a grilled pita brushed with olive oil and topped with tomato sauce, mozarella and feta cheeses, kalamata olives and gyros meat if desired.
