What’s Happening at Foellinger Theatre June 23rd – 30th

Michael Jackson’s This is It Movie and Michael Jackson Look-Alike Contest: Wednesday, June 23, 8:30 pm
The death of Michael Jackson shocked the world. And on the one-year anniversary of his death, we are remembering him with the last-known footage from the rehearsals of Michael Jackson’s planned concert tour in 2009. Filmed before his untimely death, the concert encompasses what would have been an epic show with all of his hits and dancing steps featured. Also, we’re hosting the King of Pop look-alike competition! Come to the movie dressed up like Michael Jackson for a chance to win cool prizes. PG. Admission is FREE. Sponsored by 97.3 WMEE.

Fort Wayne Area Community Singers: Thursday, June 24, 8 pm
We welcome back the Fort Wayne Area Community Singers who will feature music from around the world and music of America. There will also be opportunities to sing along. Admission is FREE.

Brent Cooper, Memories of the King: Saturday, June 26, 8 pm
Fort Wayne’s Brent Cooper has returned another year with his tribute to Elvis. Cooper brings back all the excitement, looks, sounds and electricity of an actual Elvis concert – here – live at the Foellinger Theatre! Admission is $4. Sponsored by 102.9 The River.

Sherlock Holmes Movie: Wednesday, June 30, 8:30 pm
This isn’t your grandfather’s Sherlock Holmes! The renowned detective and his stalwart partner Watson engage in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of England. PG13. Admission is FREE. Sponsored by 97.3 WMEE.

Concert tickets may be purchased on-line through the Tuesday before a concert at www.fortwayneparks.org or at the Parks & Recreation office any Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, 705 E. State Blvd. You may also purchase tickets at the box office starting at noon the day of the show.

The Foellinger Outdoor Theatre is located in Franke Park next to the Children’s Zoo on Sherman Boulevard. For more information, please call the box office at 427-6715 or the Parks & Recreation Department at 427-6000.
