Press release from the Allen County Human Resources department:

Reservations Please: Ensuring access for customers with disabilities: Free Audio Conference on Tuesday, May 18th at City-County Building

(May 6, 2010)  – Are you interested in learning more about the Hospitality Industry and what it is doing to meet the needs of customers with disabilities? If so, Allen County Human Resources invites you to attend the ADA-Indiana sponsored please audio conference on ensuring access for customers with disabilities.

Customers with disabilities are a growing market in the hospitality industry. Millions of people with disabilities regularly travel, shop, and eat out with family and friends—which translates to an annual excess of 30 billion dollars in spending. These statistics make an excellent business case for providing access to customers with disabilities. In this session, learn more about what the hospitality industry is doing to serve this market and the experiences they’ve encountered along the way.

The free audio conference will be held on Tuesday, May 18th, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at City-County Building, Rm 350, 1 East Main Street.

For further information, contact Vanessa Miller at (260) 449-7217, or email vanessa.miller@co.allen.in.us.

The audio conference series is co-sponsored by ADA-Indiana, the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities, and the DBTAC: Great Lakes ADA Center.
