Mayor’s Senior Advisory Council holds free workshop on medication, financial questions
Pharmacist to speak on medication management; attorney to discuss legal, financial questions May 18

(April 27, 2010) – Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry invites seniors and their family members to attend the second annual Mayor’s Senior Advisory Council workshop next month. The free session will cover medication management and the financial components of estate planning.

The workshop will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18 in the Omni Room of the City-County Building. Free parking is available in the attached parking garage.

The presenters will be Scott Kincaid, a senior-care pharmacist with Select Specialty Hospital, and MSAC member Stephen Adair, an attorney with Beers, Mallers, Backs & Salin, LLP whose practice is dedicated to elder law. Other advisory council members will also be there to answer questions.

“Managing medication and understanding the complexities of financial planning are critical topics for many Fort Wayne seniors. The presenters at this workshop are knowledgeable and eager to share their expertise,” Mayor Henry said. “My thanks to the Senior Advisory Council for helping residents gain access to this vital information. The Council is a valuable resource to our community.”
