Fort Wayne District Releases March Statistics

The Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne have released statistics for the month of March 2010. Troopers issued 2,062 traffic citations and 3,155 traffic warnings. Troopers also arrested 71 drunk drivers and made 215 criminal arrests.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Fort Wayne Post worked 21 new cases and made 23 criminal arrests, all of which were felony arrests. There were a total of 154 cases drawn by both troopers and detectives.

Master Trooper Gary Shenefield, his K-9 partner Beau, Senior Trooper Brad Shultz, his K-9 partner Gunnar and Trooper Shane Neuenschwander and his K-9 partner Smokey had between them, a total of 31 searches which yielded 11 arrests, assisted other agencies on six occasions and seized 111.8 grams of marijuana.

The Indiana State Police Post in Fort Wayne serves the citizens in the following nine northeast Indiana Counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley.
