Membership Drive Planned for Organization Devoted to Helping Children with Special Needs
Active 20-30 Club invites young adults to learn more April 15

(April 9, 2010) The Active 20-30 Club will hold an informational session Thursday, April 15, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Columbia Street West, 135 W. Columbia St. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. Anyone interested in learning more may send an e-mail to Membership@FortWayne2030.org .

The Active 20-30 Club is a volunteer organization made up of young adults in their 20s and 30s who are dedicated to helping local special-needs children. Its membership accomplishes this mission through hands-on events and direct financial contributions to local advocacy organizations that assist and influence the lives of children by making them more enriched and fulfilled.

In addition to a strong social component to many club activities, members find Active 20-30 to be a great way to volunteer in the community, learn valuable leadership skills and network.

The goal of the club’s current recruiting effort is to attract the next generation of members who understand that children hold the key to our future and that the Active 20-30 Club remains in a strong position to make a lasting impact in this community.
