Arts United receives Grant from Community Foundation

Arts United is the recipient of a technology grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.

(March 1, 2010) “Online donation capability and paperless technology systems are essential for Arts United to provide the most current and the strongest fundraising options,” said Jim Sparrow, Executive Director of Arts United. “We are very excited about making this transition for the benefit of our donors while increasing our access and efficiency in managing the intent of the Community Foundation’s generous support.”

Arts United will use the $20,000 award to implement a new on-line donation system and to streamline the process of receiving contributions. The grant will be used as follows:

  • Software enhancements to implement online giving and a paperless batching system
  • Staff training on new systems as well as cross training by individuals
  • Increases donor security and accessibility
  • Increases staff efficiencies

The on-line donation software was recently installed on the Arts United website and the new software for paperless record-keeping will be installed and implemented by the end of March.
