Dine & Ride expanded to include new Heather Headley Concert on March 12
Dine & Ride is a free park and ride program to help you enjoy dinner and a show downtown hassle free!

(February 24, 2010) The Downtown Improvement District (DID) announced today that the new Heather Headley concert at the Embassy Theatre on March 12 will also be eligible for the popular Dine & Ride Program.

Tony award winner and multiple Grammy nominee Heather Headley returns to her hometown of Fort Wayne to perform in concert with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 8:00pm at the Embassy Theatre. This will be Headley’s first performance in Fort Wayne in almost ten years. A Sweetwater Pops Special, Heather Headley: Home will feature an array of Headley’s astonishing vocal expertise, from pop and Broadway to gospel and standards, including songs such as “Your Song” of which she sang to Elton John at the 2004 Kennedy Center Honors.

“We are excited to welcome Heather Hadley back to her hometown,” said DID Marketing & Events Coordinator Courtney Tritch. “And, as a result, we plan to expand the Dine & Ride program to encompass this concert.”

Dine & Ride is a free service to patrons of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Masterworks and Pops Series as well as Broadway at the Embassy. Patrons can park and dine at any of the participating downtown restaurants before eligible concerts and board the CTN bus directly in front of the restaurant to be taken to the front doors of the Embassy Theatre.
