Ivy Tech Community College selects Chancellor for Northeast Region
(February 22, 2010) Ivy Tech Community College announced today that Dr. Jerrilee K. Mosier has been selected to serve as Chancellor for the college’s Northeast Region. Mosier will begin her new role July 1.
As Chancellor of Ivy Tech’s Northeast region, Mosier will provide vision, leadership and direction of Ivy Tech’s second largest region serving nearly 13,000 students. She will also oversee the college’s Fort Wayne campus, as well as the learning sites located in Angola, Ashley, Berne, Bluffton, Columbia City, Decatur, Huntington, Kendallville, LaGrange and Monroe.
“I’m highly honored to be able to work with the faculty, staff and students of Ivy Tech Community College Northeast to continue to build an institutional culture of innovation and educational excellence that will serve the students and the community for many years to come,” said Mosier.
Mosier’s career has been centered in community colleges for more than 20 years. Her career spans five community colleges in three states. She most recently served for 12 years as Vice President of Workforce Development and Training at Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, WA.
While at Edmonds Community College, Mosier worked with administration and faculty to develop and implement several degree and certificate programs, including e-commerce, 3-D games and animation, web development, network technology, database technologies, materials science technology, occupational safety and health, construction industry trades and numerous allied health programs.
She also led the initial organization and implementation of the Washington State Employment Resource Center for Boeing as a workforce development center for the new commercial 787 Dreamliner.
In addition, she led strategies that increased concurrent high school enrollment in Tech Prep and College in the High School by more than 50 percent over the last three years.

Snyder, President of Ivy Tech Community College. “We are pleased to have Jerrilee on our team as we develop and expand the community college not only in Northeast Indiana, but throughout the state as we work to build a world-class community college system in Indiana and create greater educational opportunities to all Hoosiers.”
Prior to her position at Edmonds Community College, Mosier served as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City where she was responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of credit curriculum on and off campus, and supervision and evaluation of 65 full time and 210 part-time faculty.
She has also served as Vice President of Instruction at Redlands Community College in El Reno, Oklahoma; Vice President of Instruction at Allen County Community College in Iola, Kansas; and Division Chair for Instructional Support Services at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.
Mosier earned a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Arts in Learning Disabilities from the University of Tulsa, and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Oklahoma State University.
