American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana Accepting Financial Donations for Haiti
The American Red Cross has already released $10 million for relief efforts in Haiti as an initial commitment with plans to add more. Future allocations will be made once more is known about the situation on the ground in Haiti and the type and location of greatest needs both in the short term and long term.
Humanitarian Services of the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana located at 1212 E. California Road, Fort Wayne, is accepting financial donations for the Haiti Relief and Development.
Hours for donation acceptance are:
- Saturday, Jan. 16 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Donations can also be made by phone at 1-800-RED CROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish), online at redcross.org or by texting “Haiti” to 90999.
You can help the victims of countless crises, like the recent earthquake in Haiti, around the world each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. The American Red Cross honors donor intent. If you wish to designate your donation to a specific disaster, please do so at the time of your donation.
