Press release from the Allen County Commissioners:
“Commissioners’ Night Out” Event Set for Northwest Allen County
October 6 meeting to take place at Allen Co. FairgroundsResidents of Huntertown and Northwest Allen County will have the opportunity to hear from and talk with the Allen County Commissioners at one of three “Commissioners’ Night Out” events taking place this fall.
The meeting for residents of northwest Allen County will be Tuesday, October 6, at the Allen County Fairgrounds McComb Building, 2726 Carroll Road. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
Citizens will have an opportunity during the public forum to meet the Commissioners face-to-face, give their input on issues important to them and learn about the workings of County government. Attending along with the Commissioners will be members of their staff and directors of several County government departments to answer questions and offer assistance to residents.
This is the fifth year that the Board of Commissioners has offered the town hall-style meetings, but the first year that meetings are being held during both the spring and fall seasons. “Making government more accessible to the people is why we expanded the ‘Commissioners’ Night Out’ program,” said Commissioner Bill Brown. “We are pleased to be offering citizens of Huntertown and Northwest Allen County the opportunity to meet with us.”
The two other meetings this fall will take place at North Side High School on Thursday, October 15, and on Tuesday, October 20, at the Aboite Township Community Center, 11321 Aboite Center Road.
