Fun Fitness for adults deadlines approaching fast!

The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following fitness classes for adults:

Corefit — Anytime Fitness, 2886 E. Dupont Rd. Start your weekend with a fitness session focused on the mid-section. Great arm toning exercises and step for cardio and legs are included. Saturdays, September 19 – November 21, 8:30 – 9:30 am. Fee $59. Registration deadline: September 14.

Kickboxing/Toning —High energy, motivating and fun describe this hour of kicks, punches, jabs and total body toning. This class is designed to accommodate all fitness levels. Fee $54. Registration Deadline: September 14.

  • Community Center, 233 W. Main St. Mondays, September 14 – November 16, 7 – 7:45 pm.

Zumba® Fitness — Anytime Fitness, 2886 E. Dupont Rd. Zumba® Fitness was created in the mid-90’s by Colombian native Alberto “Beto” Perez, a celebrity fitness trainer and choreographer for international pop superstars. Beto paired his favorite pulsating Latin rhythms with the red-hot international dance steps his clients loved and Zumba® Fitness (Spanish slang for “to move fast
and have fun”) was born! Mondays, September 14 – November 16, 7 – 7:45 pm. Fee: $59. Registration deadline: September 14.

Clogging — Community Center, 233 W. Main St. Clogging is a freestyle dance originating in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is characterized by double time stomping and tap steps resembling a tap dance with the upper body held straight and upright. In the beginning class you will learn line, circle, solo and partner dancing to the catchy beats of today’s country and pop music. Tuesdays, September 15 – November 17, 6:15 – 7:15 pm. Fee: $43. Registration deadline: September 15.

Yogafit — Anytime Fitness, 2886 E. Dupont Rd. Are you looking to increase strength, muscle definition and flexibility? Would you like to reduce your stress level? Try Yogafit! Our classes are designed to meet the needs of all skill levels, so anyone can attend. You’ll work on posture, form and technique while learning the basic movements and concepts of Yogafit. Wednesdays, September 16 – November 18, 5:45 – 6:45 pm or Thursdays, September 17 – November 19, 10 – 11 am. Fee: $59. Registration deadline: first day of class.

Step/Combo Cardio & Body Design — Anytime Fitness, 2886 E. Dupont Rd. This class provides challenging step moves with easy to follow choreography for your heart, followed by strength training to build and tone muscle. Thursdays, September 17 – November 19, 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Fee: $59. Registration deadline: September 17.

Tai Chi in the Garden I & II — Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St. Tai Chi is a gentle and graceful exercise to improve relaxation, health and fitness. Tuesdays, September 22, 5:30 – 6:30 pm or Wednesdays, September 23, 7 – 7:45 am. Fee: $59. Registration deadline: September 18.
