This is the first part of a four-part series of an interview with Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries. Â The interview was taped last Friday, September 4, 2009.
This first part concentrates on the Sheriff’s Training Center that is currently under construction on Adams Center Road. Â Fundraising is still underway for the facility and includes a Carson & Barnes Circus to be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 on the site of the former Seyferts Potato Chips factory on Lima Road, near the I-69 interchange.
Tickets for the circus may be bought ahead of time in $25.00 groups which include tickets for 2 Adults and 3 Kids. Â Tickets will be available on the day of the show at $18.00 per adults and $8.00 per Child. Â You may call the Sheriff’s department at 449-7535 to order tickets. Â The other fundraising activity is a 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise that starts on January 17, 2010. Â Information about this may be downloaded here.
In the interview, we talk about these fund raising activities, but the focus is more about the facility itself.
