FWCS offers fall driver education classes
Fort Wayne Community Schools is offering a fall session of driver education for the first time.

FWCS will offer the program from Sept. 8-Oct. 27 at Anthis Career Center, 1200 S. Barr St. Times offered are 4-6 p.m. or 6:30-8:30 p.m. The courses are open to any student, whether they attend FWCS or not, who is at least 15 years old before the session he or she enrolls in begins. The student also must be currently enrolled and in good standing with a high school. The State of Indiana requires perfect attendance to receive Driver Education Certification; therefore, students with conflicts during class hours, such as extracurricular activities or jobs, should not enroll. Students can enroll in classroom only instruction, which is $75, driving instruction and road rest, which is $275, or both for $350.

For more information, visit the FWCS Web site at w or call 467-1089. Enrollment deadline for the fall sessions is Sept. 4. Additional courses will be offered in the spring.
