Day two of the festival.

Community Favorites

Art in the Park at Freimann Square from 11 am to 6 pm.

The Siege of Fort Wayne 1812 will be at Old Fort Wayne from 11 am to 4 pm.  The epic water battle between pirates and soldiers on the St. Mary’s River that debuted during last year’s Germanfest, makes a return this weekend.  Best viewing spot is from the pedestrian bridge between Headwaters Park and Old Fort Wayne.

AFW Picks

The Egg Drop Eggstravaganza at 815 South Barr Street from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.

Fort Wayne Museum of Art’s Chalk Walk is available from 8 am to 6 pm. A quick walk through yesterday, with many of the works in progress, demonstrated the promise this year’s walk promises. Most should be done today and on full display for everyone’s viewing pleasure.

Tours of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception are available from 1 to 4 pm today.  If memory serves me correctly, there really isn’t a timetable for the start of the tours, so show up and enjoy this beautiful downtown gem while waiting for your turn.
