The proposed Charis House development on Fairmount Place faces two decisions this week.
The first is at the regular business meeting of the Fort Wayne Plan Commission. Â This decision will be for approval of the site development plan heard at a public hearing last Monday. Â The second decision will be in Thursday’s Board of Zoning Appeals meeting.
It is important to note that this is not a hearing on the design of the project, building materials or other compatibility issues, or whether Charis House should or should not be at this location. Â This hearing is to review the determination of the Zoning Enforcement Officer that a group residential facility is a permitted use in the IN1 and IN2 zoning districts.
