Press release from the City:

Community Service Council to host Public Forum about Stimulus Package
Learn about federal funding for City, community

The City of Fort Wayne’s Community Service Council will host a public forum about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, often referred to as the stimulus package, at 6 p.m. Thursday in City Council Chambers in the City-County Building.

Representatives from City Utilities, Parks, Police Department, Fire Department, greenways, Community Development, Citilink, non-profits, small business and others will make brief presentations about their area and what stimulus funding for which they could qualify.

“CSC members had a lot of questions about the stimulus package, and we figured others did too so we are hosting a meeting where the public can learn about the different funding sources that are available from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and how that money can be used to benefit Fort Wayne,” said Beulah Stoker, CSC president.

In addition to the presentations, there will be a brief question and answer period.
