Remarkable Power

This is a little late as only tonight and tomorrow are left in this movie’s Fort Wayne appearance, however I want to mention it.  The movie Remarkable Power! is playing at Carmike Cinemas.  It is not one of those ‘greatest’ movies ever played, nor certainly isn’t in my top ten list.  It is, however, an interesting study of some quirky characters trying to piece together a mysterious murder where the body suddenly disappears.  The movie has some big names along with others whose names you may not place until you see the actors.  Download more information about the movie here.

TO SHOW NEW COMEDY — REMARKABLE POWER!

Remarkable Power!, an award-winning, cutting edge comedy starring such notables as Kevin Nealon, Tom Arnold, Nora Zehetner, Kip Parude, Dulé Hill and Christopher Titus will headline the Independent Film Series being presented by Carmike Cinemas from March 2 – 8, 2009.

The story follows an eclectic collection of characters in and around Los Angeles whose lives are intertwined after a late-night talk-show host, played by Nealon, concocts an elaborate stunt to save his canceled show, with comedy, mystery, murder and mayhem ensuing.

The movie has played at over twenty international film festivals, and marks the feature debut for writer/director Brandon Beckner. The picture was produced by Scott Sampila, who co-wrote the screenplay with Beckner. Executive Producers are Tom Arnold, Mark Lawrence, Jerod Foos, and David Florimbi.

The Independent Film Series will run for twelve weeks at the Carmike 20 located at 3930 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
