On Sunday, December 14th 2008, the Headwaters Park Ice Rink celebrated it’s 100,000th ice skater. This is a cumulative milestone over the past five years since the ice rink first opened. The winner received a prize basket featuring items including a blanket, chocolates, video rentals to name a few of the items. The Prizes were donated by: Aunt Millie’s, Mike’s Express Carwash, DK Jewelry & Fashion Boutique, 97.3 WMEE, Headwaters Park Alliance, Crazy Pinz, Rosewood Carriages, Inc., K105FM, Curves, Video Video, Komets, Fort Wayne/Allen County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Higher Grounds, Old #3 Firehouse Cafe, Hall’s Gas House Restaurant, and this blog.
