100,000th Skater At The Headwaters Park Ice Rink

Geoff Paddock, Headwaters Park Alliance Executive Director, has announced that sometime this weekend, one lucky person will become the 100,000 skater to pass through the admission gates.  The Headwaters Park Ice rink opened 5 years ago in November 2003, and continues to grow in popularity as the premiere downtown winter attraction.  The lucky person will receive a prize package of several items, so come out and take your chances at being number 100,000!

Extended Holiday hours also begin today.  The Ice Rink will be open noon to 10 pm daily.  Christmas and New Year’s hours listed below.

Admission

$3 – Ages 13 and under
$5 – Age 14 and over

$2 – Skate Rental

Visitors are free
Parking is free

Friday’s, 13 and under skate free*
(*skate rental, if needed, applies) 

Skate Sharpening

$5.00 – Hockey Skates
$7.50 – Figure Skates

Encore Ice Show

On Saturday, December 13th
Wachovia will be presenting an Encore Performance of the
Fort Wayne Skating Club’s Opening Night skating exhibition
The Ice will be closed for public skating starting at 3:00 pm
and will reopen after the show’s completion at approximately 4:30 pm.
The public is invited to the show!

Christmas

Christmas Eve – open Noon to 5 pm
Closed Christmas Day 

New Year’s

New Year’s Eve – open Noon to 9 pm
New Year’s Day – open Noon to 10 pm
