Posted earlier: Â There’s a Redevelopment Commission meeting scheduled for today at 4 pm in the City Council chambers at the City-County building. Â The agenda has yet to be posted to the City’s website. Â One item that will definitely be on the agenda is a resolution allowing Cable Access to broadcast Redevelopment Commission meetings. Â This resolution is more of a formality as no objections were raised by Commissioners when suggested by Greg Leatherman, Executive Director of Redevelopment in August. Â This suggestion of openness had first been raised by Commissioner Casey Cox back in a special meeting in May. Â
Another item that might possibly be on the agenda is a resolution approving the naming rights deal with Parkview Health. Â If it is on the agenda, however, the documents detailing the agreement will probably not be available to the public until they have been signed. Â I say this because it seems to be the policy of the Redevelopment Department not to make such agreements available until after they have been approved and signed by all necessary parties. Â
