A little late, but I have posted a photo set from the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society’s 2007 Open House. The main attraction is the rebuilt Nickel Plate Railroad #765 Berkshire Steam Locomotive. This beautiful 15 feet tall, 404 ton living, breathing analog machinery is a sight to behold. The FWRHS is currently working on setting up some excursions. Best of luck to them as there’s many of us waiting to see this beauty puffing along under full steam, riding those iron rails! A selection of photos is included with this post – for the bulk of the photos, follow this link. Visit the FWRHS by clicking here. Also, information about the 2008 Annual Open House.
