Fort Wayne Museum of Art Chalk Walk

Hundreds of artists transform Main Street into their own canvas using Chalk and their artistic abilities. Last year saw the addition of quite a few 3-D renditions to the colorful tabloids on Main Street. Admission is free, and the canvas is Main Street between Barr and Lafayette Streets. It also extends on the drive between the Arts United Center and Fort Wayne Museum of Art as well as South on Barr Street to Berry Street. The hours are: Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Art in the Park

Artists from all over the region join together to present this two-day extravaganza. Art in the Park is free and fun for all ages! The event runs Saturday, July 12th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday, July 13th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The location is Freimann Square and Main Street between Barr and Clinton Streets.

Design Collaborative “Egg Drop”

The “Egg Drop” is an opportunity for children and adults display their creative talents by designing a container/craft keep an egg from breaking when dropped from the 3 story Design Collaborative building at 825 South Barr Street (the Barr Street Market) from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

Tours of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

View one of Fort Wayne’s true treasures – the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The Cathedral’s beautiful Stations of the Cross, crafted in Oberammergau, Germany; the Bavarian stained glass windows; hand-crafted reredos in the Sanctuary, and the Crypt all come together in one magnificent package. Admission is free, and the scheduled hours are from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Cathedral is on Calhoun Street, just southeast of Jefferson Boulevard.
