The National City Parade
What would a giant festival be without a parade? The National City Parade starts at 10:00 AM and winds through the downtown area. This year, after a much bemoaned loss, the parade route returns to the West Central Neighborhood area. Get there early however, as the curbs fill up quickly! Parade Route Map & Info.
Dog n’ Suds Hotdog Eating Competition
 This is a new event for the Three Rivers Festival. The preliminary rounds were held at the Dog N Suds restaurant on Lima Road for three consecutive Saturdays - June 14th, 21st and June 28th. The top 5 winners from each of the preliminary rounds will face off at noon in the Verizon Event Pavilion (Lincoln Financial Pavilion) in Headwaters Park. The final round will consist of five minute rounds and the winners will be chosen by the amount of hot dogs they eat in those five minutes. First place for the contest is $500. Second place is $250 and third place is $100. All prizes will be handed out at the final contest on July 12.Â
The Tastes of Poland
Sample traditional Polish cuisine in a European café setting at the Dash-In at 814 South Calhoun Street. Featuring pierogi, kielbasa, stuffed cabbage, and other delicacies. Must be 21. Outside seating for families available. Admission is free, however there is a charge for the food. The event runs 11 AM to 7 PM and you may call 423-3595 for more information.
