Fat Tuesday at the Firehouse Caf̩ Р2008

Fat Tuesday at the Firehouse Café

The Firehouse Café at 226 W. Washington Blvd. will serve up Cajun jambalaya, red beans and rice, southern pecan pie and praline ice cream pie on Feb. 5 to celebrate Fat Tuesday.   (The jamabalya won’t contain Shrimp – I asked.)  The Café will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The food will then go to Headwaters Ice Rink, where it’ll be served from 3 to 8 p.m. Helen Grimes and Ed Graf own the Firehouse Café and Catering by Mr. G’s, which serves the ice rink.  The Firehouse Café is located on the upper floor of the Old Firehouse Number 3 in downtown Fort Wayne.  This building now houses the Fort Wayne Firefighter’s Museum.  If you have never checked out the Museum, plan for some extra time to walk through the exhibits.
