The Fort Wayne Embassy Theatre's Grand Page Theater Pipe Organ was played for the public one last time on September 7, 2014, before being packed up and shipped off to Carlton Smith Pipe Organ Restorations in Indianapolis Indiana for restoration.

The Indiana Office of Tourism Development recently recognized two Fort Wayne residents with Hoosier Hospitality Awards. On August 28, 2014, Visit Fort Wayne officials gave local recognition to Angie Harter, Cindy's Diner, and Jim Hodgin, Science Central.
On hand were Visit Fort Wayne Board president Mike Nutter, Visit Fort Wayne president Dan O'Connell, State Representatives Phil GiaQuinta and Martin Carbaugh.

Kroger announces additional store investment plans in Fort Wayne Indiana. Details include: Multi-million dollar remodel of Clinton Street store, including fuel center in 2013; grand opening of second Marketplace store at Village of Coventry in October; major remodel of Bluffton Road store complete by December 2012; the North Anthony store will not reopen; adjacent pharmacy building to close; and all current associates keep jobs; more than 100 new jobs to be added.
